One of the best films I've ever seen. The flood scene was breathtaking. Had no idea what to expect. Completely blown away. This channel is awesome to watch when you're high. Best movie of the year, absolute masterpiece. Came back to this because of it winning Best Picture. Do some quick maths between the order of the correlated shots and you'll see: 6:08 43-20=23 6:11 47-24=23 6:14 48-25=23 6:16 49-26=23 6:19 57-11=46 ( 23*2) This mathematical precision truly took the rhythm of the montage to a whole new level.

Wow, it completely exceeded my expectations. I knew it would be good but its so deep on a level I could never understand... If you guys enjoyed Parasite I recommend you check out Burning next! Its on Netflix and its also a Korean film thatll mess with your head! It was also nominated for best international film a couple of years ago. One thing that i find pretty cool is the fact that they used a pen cap. at first i thought they put the peach fuzz into a sort of tube (the kind that you see in investigation scenes) but honestly, where could the poor family get one of those? i wouldve never thought of the idea to use the pen cap but its just genius and fits perfectly.

One of the most messed up things about this movie is how they are all actually pretty qualified (daughter is arguable) to do their jobs but if they normally went about getting them they wouldnt have gotten them.

This movie is mindblowing. There are no words to explain how much of a masterpiece this is. Stops. Circles. Very funny face right there. My kind of people. Their son's painting is actually a key to the end, the ugly face is Moon-Gwang's husband (Geun-sae) there's an arrow pointing up which mean that Sae is coming up from the basement. At the painting, Sae is under a sunlight which reveal that he will come in the sunlight.

Parasite just won best international film, and best director! The Oscars isn't over I am so happy to see a foreign film get love. Edit: BEST SCREENPLAY AND BEST PICTURE. I am so proud. Written and Directed by Bong Joon-Ho, Parasite evolves into something so gripping and unusual. While this would be seen as a thriller by many, it's also a dark comedy. This can often a very difficult thing to pull of, as too many tones can often leave an audience confused and disengaged. It also plays to audience's expectations only to then completely subvert them when you think you know whats going to happen. Parasite executes this all of these elements amazingly through Bong Joon-Ho's incredible direction and writing. Dialogue has depth and sounds organic. The themes that Parasite explores really hit home by the end of the movie and takes us to some unexpectedly emotional resolutions of character arcs. The cast which consists of Woo-sik Choi, Hye-jin Jang, So-dam Park and long term collaborator Kang-ho Sang, are all at the top of their game here, with an especially phenomenal performance by Kang-ho Sang. Cinematographer Kyung-pyo Hung returns with might be his best work yet. The sound design is great and the score fits perfectly and helps add to the tension of the movie.
All of these elements combine to make an incredibly satisfying movie, while also being highly re-watchable. When introducing someone to foreign language movie, this would be one the first i'd recommend.

Lmfao I loved Joon in the oscars. I went into this movie cold as Director Bong Joon Ho suggested. WOW. I love it! The ending just left you with this hopeful, yet uncertain feeling. Just like life.

Why weren't some of them nominated for best actors or supporting actors

Director Bong said at Golden you overcome the one inch tall barrier of subtitles you will be introduced to so many more amazing films.💜. Boring movie, the acting is fine but there are too many unnecessary scenes and the plot is bland, uninteresting. A waste of time. I actually found it hilarious that Ki Jung said Aish (ah, shit) at the end because that term is mostly used for minor inconveniences. Woo sik is literally the cutest person on this planet.
